The most protected music signal delivery available with DIN interconnect -Lunar
Equilateral
These Lunar Equilateral variants should be used with Naim Audio Equipment only
and includes:
- Lunar EQ 5; DIN 5 to DIN 5 (240 degree, 1m length) connecting Naim power supply
(Super-Cap/Hi-Cap/Flat-Cap) to Naim Pre-Amp.
- Lunar EQ 4; DIN 4 to DIN 4 or XLR (Signal only, 1m length) connecting Naim power
supply to Naim Power-Amp (DIN4-XLR offered as Stereo (for NAP 250) or mono pair versions
for NAP 500/300/135).
Top Technology:
- A Select aerospace grade cable with silvered copper alloy and extruded PTFE dielectric
insulation.
- ‘Equilateral’ Pseudo balanced configuration- The signal, return, and earth use
an identical configuration, combining a floating double screen for extremely low noise
floor and superb dynamics.
Top Protected music signal delivery:
- Quadruple multi layered braided shielding with 99.7% coverage ensure full protection from RFI & EMI.
- Anti vibration mechanism- An Anti-Resonant polymer treatment for the DIN plugs
controls vibrations conduction and reduce plug resonance.
Hi-end DIN 5 (240 degree) & DIN 4 cables

In a nutshell: The New Lunar Equilateral 4&5 versus the standard version of Lunar
4&5:
The Equilateral is a new cable placed under the Lunar family, offering a new level
of music experience.
Your music will sound better then ever:
- The Lunar Equilateral reveals deeper Bass lines which are also better defined.
- The Lunar Equilateral shows even greater dynamic range, while it plays Forte passages
in more realistic way. No difference noticed in pianissimo passages.
- Improved Midrange texture- Shades of colours in midrange tones are better defined
(for example it will show more realistic piano reproduction).
- The Lunar Equilateral show somewhat more polite highs versus the standard Lunar DIN.
Improved construction:
The construction is more similar to Lunar RCA (Lunar RCA use a pair of lunar cables
while the Equilateral use one and a half Lunars with improved external shield
placed under a single jacket).
- The Lunar Equilateral DIN interconnect contains three shielded twisted pairs main
conductors, while the standard Lunar contains two of these (the same materials used
in both versions).
- The Lunar Equilateral contains a very heavy 10 AWG copper outer shield- with 2.5
times more area then the shield used in the standard Lunar (14 AWG). This means the
new outer shield protects the music signal much better from external noises. The
back of the DIN plug drilled in order to accommodate the thickness (about 9 mm!)
of the new cable.
Please note that the cable is directional: The band carrying the logo marks signal
flow direction; The cable end near the logo goes to the NAC in the Lunar EQ 5 pin
DIN, While in the Lunar EQ 4 pin DIN to XLR the end near the band goes to the Super-Cap
/ Hi-Cap).
